GE Fanuc IC200ALG321 VersaMax Analog Output Module (12-bit, 0–10V DC, 4 Channels)
1. Product Overview
The IC200ALG321 is an analog voltage output module in GE Fanuc's (now Emerson Automation Solutions) VersaMax distributed I/O system, providing 4 single-ended voltage outputs at 12-bit resolution over 0–10.24V DC (nominal 0–10V). The module plugs into any VersaMax I/O carrier (CHS series) and outputs are controlled by the CPU/NIU over the backplane.
Each channel outputs a voltage signal to drive external analog actuators such as electro-pneumatic valve positioners, variable frequency drive (VFD) speed references, proportional valves, strip-chart recorders and digital indicators. The 4 channels form one group, non-isolated and common-grounded. The module has FLD PWR (field power) and OK LEDs for field diagnostics.
A jumper selects the power-up default output state: 0V or hold last output value. Analog output modules require an external field power supply for the output loop (the backplane 5V powers logic). The module uses the standard VersaMax I/O footprint and supports hot insertion/removal.

Per GE Fanuc VersaMax Analog Output Module technical manual and GFK series documentation. Note: IC200ALG321 is voltage output (0–10V), not current (4–20mA = ALG320); it is 4 channels, not 8 (8ch = ALG326). Confirm external field voltage and wiring per the module manual.
5. Model Information
- Catalog number (ordering number): IC200ALG321
- Product description: GE Fanuc VersaMax 12-bit analog voltage output module, 4 channels, 0–10.24V DC.
- Official catalog description: IC200ALG321 Analog Output Module, 12 Bit Voltage 0 to 10 VDC, 4 Channels.
- Material number note: IC200ALG321 is the official GE Fanuc / Emerson ordering number; "ALG" denotes analog, "321" denotes 12-bit voltage 0–10V 4-channel. Trailing letters (e.g. ALG321J) are hardware revisions. Distinguish from ALG320 (current 4–20mA) and ALG322 (±10V bipolar). If you have questions on signal type or external power wiring, please contact us by email.

6. Why Choose Us
- Exact model match: We verify supply against your full catalog number IC200ALG321, distinguishing 321 (0–10V voltage) from 320 (4–20mA current), 322 (±10V bipolar) and 326 (8 channels) to avoid wrong shipment.
- Authorized channel supply: GE Fanuc / Emerson VersaMax modules supplied through regular channels, with product documentation available on request.
- Selection support: We help confirm signal type (voltage/current), channel count, external field power and matching with the driven actuator.
- Delivery & after-sales: Quotation, lead-time confirmation and order follow-up provided; for any parameter questions or alternative options, please contact us by email.
7. FAQ
Q1: Is the IC200ALG321 voltage or current output?
A: IC200ALG321 is a voltage output module, 4 channels, 0–10.24V DC (nominal 0–10V). The current-output 4–20mA model is IC200ALG320.
Q2: How many channels and what resolution?
A: 4 single-ended channels at 12-bit resolution, 0.3ms update. The 4 channels are one group, common-grounded, not isolated.
Q3: Does the module need external power?
A: Yes. Logic draws 50mA from the backplane 5V, but the analog output loop requires an external field power supply. Confirm voltage rating and wiring in the module manual; please email us if unsure.
Q4: What is the power-up output state?
A: Selectable by jumper: 0V or hold last output. Choose 0V for fail-safe valve closure, or Hold Last to maintain position on power loss.
Q5: Can it drive a VFD or valve positioner?
A: Yes. 0–10V voltage output is a common reference signal for VFDs and electro-pneumatic valve positioners. Use shielded twisted pair with the shield grounded at one end.
Q6: How does it differ from ALG320 and ALG322?
A: ALG320 = 12-bit current 4–20mA, 4ch; ALG321 = 12-bit voltage 0–10V, 4ch; ALG322 = 12-bit voltage ±10V (bipolar), 4ch. Choose based on the input signal of your actuator. Please email us for selection help.
