The Fluke 789 (ProcessMeter™) is a handheld, battery-powered process calibrator that combines a digital multimeter with a loop calibrator, used to measure electrical parameters, source/simulate 4–20 mA to test process instruments, and provide 24 V loop power.

Compared with the 787B, the 789 uniquely adds a 20 mA current source/simulate, simultaneous mA and percent (%) readout, 24 V loop power, and a HART mode (250 Ω resistor with loop power). It can measure and source mA at once, suiting field calibration and troubleshooting of transmitters, controllers, recorders and PLC inputs. Dual display, backlight with two brightness levels, external-access 4×AA batteries, CAT III 600 V.
