1. Product Overview
FC-SAI-1620M is a high-integrity, high-density analog input (AI) module for the Honeywell Safety Manager (SMS) system. Designed for safety instrumented systems (SIS), its 16 channels acquire 4–20 mA signals from field pressure transmitters, flow meters and level sensors with precision.
It uses Honeywell QMR (Quadruple Modular Redundant) technology with IEC 61508 / DFSS design, providing uninterrupted operation during system degradation and improving process availability and reliability. The 16 channels are arranged in two groups of 8 with a common 0 V, and it can supply loop power (Vext) to passive transmitters.
